Adoption Process

Choose Your Puppy
We invite you to browse our available puppies and find the one that feels like the perfect fit for your family. We are happy to provide additional pictures and videos of any puppy you are considering. We can also schedule a Zoom video call so you can meet the puppy in real time and ask any questions you may have.

We understand that bringing a puppy into your home is a significant decision, and we are here to guide you through every step of the process. Our goal is to make sure you feel informed, confident, and excited about your new family member.

Sign Contract & Pay Deposit
To reserve a puppy, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable $500 deposit. Once both items have been received, your chosen puppy will be marked as reserved and removed from availability.

Please ensure you are fully prepared and confident in your decision before placing a deposit, as all deposits and puppy sales are final. The contract will be sent to you by email. We ask that you complete the first page and sign the initial signature line indicating agreement to the terms. Final signatures will be completed at pickup or prior to the puppy leaving our care.

Weekly Updates
After your puppy has been reserved, you will receive weekly photos and/or videos so you can watch your puppy grow and develop before bringing them home. We love keeping our puppy families involved throughout this exciting journey.

Final Payment & AKC Registration
The remaining balance, minus the $500 deposit, is due on or before pickup day. At that time, you will also sign documentation confirming receipt of your puppy.

Once final payment has been received, we will complete your puppy’s AKC registration on your behalf—this fee has already been included in the purchase price. We will simply need the registered name you would like for your puppy. The owner information listed on the AKC registration will match the contact information provided on your signed contract.

After the registration has been submitted, you will receive an email confirmation from AKC, followed by the official registration certificate by mail within a few weeks.

Bringing Your Puppy Home
Bringing home your new puppy is an exciting and memorable day. Whenever possible, we encourage families to personally pick up their puppy, as this is typically the least stressful option during such a major transition.

Families are welcome to come to our home to meet the puppy’s parents, or we can arrange to meet you at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Many families choose to fly in and return home the same day, which can often be the most affordable travel option. We are familiar with the airport and are happy to meet you inside for an easy handoff.

If flying home with your puppy, please keep in mind that the puppy will need an airline-approved travel carrier, which will count as one of your carry-on items, as well as a plane ticket for the puppy (typically ranging from $100–$140, depending on the airline).

Additional transportation options include hiring a flight nanny or arranging ground transportation through a company of your choice. Transportation costs vary depending on the service, destination, and time of year. In some cases, we may also be able to personally fly the puppy to you, depending on scheduling and airfare availability.
